Called NXS0506UP, it can be clocked at up to 208MHz (104Mbit/s) and is an SD 3.0-compliant bi-directional dual voltage level translator with auto-direction control, EMI filtering and IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection.
Host-side Vcc can range across 1.1 – 1.95V, while the card side can span 1.7 – 3.6 for compatibility with 3.3, 2.8 and 1.8V systems. It supports: SD 3.0: SDR104,
SDR50, DDR50, SDR25, SDR12, and SD 2.0 50MHz high-speed and 25MHz default-speed modes. It works across -40 to +85°C.
“While traditionally targeted for use in consumer devices such as smartphone handsets, notebooks, game pads, cameras and wireless access points, we are seeing adoption in home medical devices and automotive systems,” said Nexperia product manager Vikram Singh Parihar.
Pull-up and pull-down resistors are integrated, and DATA and CMD channels are swappable without impacting functionality to ease direct connection with host processors and asics.
